Your Breath

Sara Hernandez
6.00 pm Friday April 15th 2022
“Your Breath” is a new dance piece created and performed by dancer Sara Hernandez with live music composed by cello player Ilse de Ziah. This piece takes an explorative journey with a multisensorial aproche investigating the air in an open space, the air that moves in and moves through, connecting directly with the deep current of things that move us emotionally. Breath as the gateway to expression in movement. In this choreography Sara responds to invisible natural qualities, considering the space, time, environment, perception and interconnections of visual and sensory inputs. This piece invites the audience to think, feel, imagine and re-awaken their emotions.

As part of this event Sara will be delivering a creative dance workshop with an invited cohort of 12 participants. Sara will facilitate a session combining improvisation with some pre-prepared dance sequences. Sara will invite the participants to take a journey of self-discovery, using the senses and the imagination to create movement and body expression. This workshop will be open to all levels with no prior experience required. Performance is open to the public, limited free tickets for the workshop can booked on Eventbrite
