We are pleased to announce that Cork Printmakers will host a fundraising auction on Thursday 28 October 2010 at the Imperial Hotel, South Mall, Cork.
The work can be previewed from 12.30pm on the 28 October, prior to the evening auction. The Affordable Art Auction promises to present work by over 70 artists, and at affordable reserve prices. The monies raised from the auction will be used to support the work of Cork Printmakers’ fine art print workshop in facilitating artists in the development of their artistic practice and in managing innovative printmaking educational programmes which span all ages. Furthermore, Cork Printmakers has chosen Chernobyl Children’s Project International as a co-beneficiary of the auction. The fundraising auction will consist of:
• An auction of work donated by artists.
• A sale of specially created small prints which will all be priced at €45 each.
• And finally, an auction of ‘drawings in drypoint’ created by well-known and loved Irish personalities.
