Cork Culture Night
Culture Night is a national event on September 19th with cultural venues in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway opening their doors and many special events planned. Cork Printmakers is delighted to be part of the inaugural event in Cork and will be open to the public from 6pm – 10pm. There will be free printmaking demonstrations available on the night, in Screen-printing (6.30pm - 7.15pm) and Etching (8pm - 8.45pm). It is possible to participate in these demonstrations, so if you are curious about printmaking, just contact us to book your place. Artist members will also lead tours of the workshop throughout the evening. Visitors are invited to view work in our print showroom on the second floor. There will be a 10% discount on all work purchased during Cork Culture Night. Booking is essential for tours and demonstrations. Members Exhibitions & Events
Burren is an exhibition by Johnny Bugler at Nimmo’s Restaurant, at the Spanish Arch in Galway. It runs for the month of September.
An exhibition by Kate Lyons entitled Lorg is taking place in Áras Éanna, on Inis Oírr, the smallest of the Aran Islands. The show will close on Friday September 26th.
Node – the National Print Studio Network Exhibition, opens at the Original Print Gallery, on Thursday 11th of September. Six artists from Cork Printmakers are featured including: Marianne Keating, Jo Kelley, Debbie Godsell, Ben Reilly and Sean Hanrahan. Ray Henshaw, an artist based in Belfast curated the show. The exhibition continues until Sunday 5th of October.
Unveiled is the title of an exhibition by Donna McNamara, which opens at the Old Market House Arts Centre, Dungarvan, on Friday 12th of September. It runs until Saturday 18th of October.
Between the Lines is a exhibition of new work by Valerie Gleeson and Angela Fewer, at The Concourse, Ground Floor, at Cork School of Music. The show will be opened by Vivienne Roche on Thursday 2nd of October at 6pm. The show is open from Monday 29th of September and runs until Friday 17th of October.
